Full product details
The Rustler is built so you can catch and work cattle in the pasture instead of hauling everything back to a permanent set of pens. Hook up, tow it in, and open into two pens with a center alley between them.
Here’s the space in plain English: 21-foot panels each side make a pen about 1,603 sq ft. Both pens together are about 3,205 sq ft. Add the 20 × 6 ft center alley and you’re at about 3,325 sq ft for the whole set. We figure head count off the pens only — not the alley.
Same-day working capacity:
- Cows over 1,200 lb — about 160
- Yearlings 600–1,200 lb — about 189
- Calves under 600 lb — about 229
- Cow-calf pairs — about 94
Ninety-four pairs is max same-day, and it’s tight if both pens are full. Most folks are more comfortable at about 55–65 pairs in the corral, with about 25–35 in the pen you’re sorting. Same day only — not overnight.
When you shop corrals, compare square feet of pen space. Pair counts on the internet aren’t all figured the same way. We don’t advertise 120 pairs.
