R&R Livestock Equipment
Texas AgPro grant
How this program works, in plain words.
Cost-share help from R&R
We’ll help you get started
You don’t have to figure out the Texas program alone. Our part is gathering the info the program needs and getting it in front of the right person, so they can get things moving.
- Tell us what you’re interested in. A chute, alley, tub or corral — and your county.
- We gather what the program needs. An itemized quote on R&R letterhead, plus the product specs and info your local office asks for.
- We get it to the right person, with you copied. We send it to the program office or agent who handles your application, with you on the email, so they can get things moving.

The program decides who qualifies and how much it pays. We help you get started.
Good to know before you apply
AgPro uses a competitive application process, so not every applicant is funded. (per the Texas Dept. of Agriculture AgPro page)

Program details
The Texas Department of Agriculture’s AgPro – Texas Agricultural Grant Program has listed squeeze chutes, head gates, tubs and alleys as allowable expenses. The last round is closed, and the next one hasn’t been announced.
Official program info: AgPro – Texas Agricultural Grant Program · AgPro allowable expenses (Mar 2026, PDF)
- Who runs it: Texas Department of Agriculture – Texas Agricultural Finance Authority (statewide)
- How much (FY2026 round): $5,000 to $500,000, with a producer match of 10%, 20% or 30% depending on size
- Deadlines: The FY2026 round (Apr 1 – May 14, 2026) is closed. The program says future rounds depend on legislative funding, and no next round is announced yet — email us and we’ll keep an eye on it.
Who qualifies (FY2026)
- Texas producers who get at least 50% of their income from agriculture.
What equipment qualifies (FY2026 guide)
- Squeeze chutes, head gates, tubs, alleys, panels and scales.
What the quote and receipt must show
- An itemized budget goes in the application; reimbursement is paid on receipts.
- Expenses from before the approved grant start date don’t count.
How it works, step by step
No round is open right now. When one opens, AgPro works like this:
- Apply in the next round with an itemized budget.
- Get an itemized quote from us in the landowner’s name for that budget.
- Wait for approval and your grant start date. Expenses from before the start date don’t count.
- Buy.
- Send receipts to get reimbursed.

Program rules change, so the details should be confirmed with your local program office before you buy — we can do that with you. Each program decides who qualifies and how much it pays — R&R Livestock Equipment doesn’t run these programs and can’t promise approval.
