Cost-share help from R&R

We’ll help you get started

You don’t have to figure out the Pennsylvania program alone. Our part is gathering the info the program needs and getting it in front of the right person, so they can get things moving.

  1. Tell us what you’re interested in. A chute, alley, tub or corral — and your county.
  2. We gather what the program needs. An itemized quote on R&R letterhead, plus the product specs and info your local office asks for.
  3. We get it to the right person, with you copied. We send it to the program office or agent who handles your application, with you on the email, so they can get things moving.

The program decides who qualifies and how much it pays. We help you get started.

Good to know before you apply

Funding is subject to availability, so approval isn’t guaranteed. (per the Center for Beef Excellence)

Program details

The Center for Beef Excellence runs the Beef Excellence Initiatives grant for Pennsylvania beef producers. It covers cattle infrastructure projects. This one works backwards: you finish the project first, then apply.

Official program info: Beef Excellence Initiatives

  • Who runs it: Center for Beef Excellence (statewide)
  • How much: Up to 50%, max $10,000
  • Deadlines: Round 1: Sept 15 – Nov 20, 2026, 5 p.m. Round 2: Jan 1 – May 10, 2027.

Who qualifies

  • Pennsylvania beef producers. BQA-certified producers get priority.
  • Past recipients wait 3 years before applying again.

What equipment qualifies

  • Cattle infrastructure projects. Chutes and corrals aren’t named on the program page, so the program office decides whether your item qualifies. We can ask for you. Tractors and similar equipment are excluded.

What the invoice must show

  • The project must be complete before you apply (within the past 18 months).
  • Send copies of invoices / receipts for the total cost, a detailed budget, and before-and-after photos.

How it works, step by step

This program works backwards: you finish the project first, then apply.

  1. Find out whether your item qualifies before you buy (chutes and corrals aren’t named). We can ask the program office for you.
  2. Get an itemized quote from us in the landowner’s name.
  3. Buy and finish the project. It must be done within the 18 months before you apply.
  4. Apply with copies of your paid invoices / receipts, a detailed budget and before-and-after photos (Round 1: by Nov 20, 2026, 5 p.m.; Round 2: Jan 1 – May 10, 2027).
  5. Wait for the decision.

Program rules change, so the details should be confirmed with your local program office before you buy — we can do that with you. Each program decides who qualifies and how much it pays — R&R Livestock Equipment doesn’t run these programs and can’t promise approval.
